Summer Displays: Hats

One way to stay cool and keep your eyes shaded during the summer months is to wear some sort of a hat.  For many parts of the country, this summer has already been a scorcher, so offer different hat options to your clientele as a way to keep cool in the stifling heat.

There are four main types of hat displays, countertop displays, floor displays, wall displays and rack displays.

Countertop hat displays are a good way to add some variety to tables, counters or other areas. There are various options available including two and three tier spinning racks. These types of displays tend to work best for smaller hats like baseball caps since the hats are displayed in a smaller space. So cowboy hats and large sun hats may not fit.

One of our favorite types of countertop hat racks for baseball caps are the countertop cap towers. These towers can hold up to 36 caps on 6-Tiers. Extra styles and sizes can be nested into the front cap and you can display up to six different types of caps prominently. And there is a built in sign holder on top of this tower.

Another countertop option is mannequin heads. These displays are pretty versatile and can also be used to display scarves, jewelry, glasses or wigs.

For stores that want to display a great variety of hats, a standing floor tier is probably the best option. These rotating six tier pieces hold 24 different men’s and women’s hats. They take up more space than other floor hat displays like the floor tower, but they make a greater impact and showcase hats in a more creative way. So anyone selling larger hats, cowboy hats, men’s formal hats or even trendy hats, the standing floor tier is the best option.

For stores that have any sort of wall display system, there is a hat display that can be configured to be used with your arrangement. There are hat displays designed for slatwall, wiregrid or pegboard.

There are also foam pieces that can be used in conjunction with these displays to give shape to certain types of hats.

Then finally, if you don’t have space for a standalone hat rack, or are looking to maximize your current displays, you can also add revolving tiers to the top of your clothing racks. These tiers also include a sign holder at the top so you can clearly display pricing and sale information for the hat displays and the clothing merchandise displayed bellowed the hats.

So if your store already carries hats, or you are looking to expand your lines with hats, consider all the different hat display options and choose the display that is perfect for your store.
